Something stranged happened to me a little bit ago with my gear and i need some input. Heres my list of gear, Peg35, 7cell cp1300Sanyo's, hitec focus 4 radio, gws naro 4channel reciever. Promaxx 4011. 2 gws naro servo and one HS81. scratch built on madien voyage. On connecting the batt i never recieved the arming beeps. Servos work fine. I disconect 3 times and got the same results. So i cycle the throttle up and down and trim and still no arming beeps. So, since this esc has saved more than one plane from its inteligent mind i figure ive got something wrong in my wiring, I pull everything out and triple check and alls well, So i have epa on this radio so i crank it down to the low setting and walla...arming beeps. i crank it back up, hit the throttle and motor spins and im set. But since this has never happened before im reluctant to fly this plane. So i disconnect everything and start over. Same resaults. No arming beep until i turn the epa all the way down. Well i go ahead and launch and madien was uneventfull. I figure this esc is trying to warn me of something. And im quessing its my radio, All of this equipment has been used for a couple 2 or 3 years without any problems. ...Radio is 5 yrs old probly...any help or advice would be apreciated...dave

As a safety feature, the ESC will not arm until it detects that you are at low throttle for a couple seconds. If your EPA is set too high, it won't detect low throttle and will not arm. Just lower it to the point where it will arm and leave it there. If this wasn't a problem before, then your EPA was probably barely were the ESC would detect low throttle and has drifted a tiny bit since then. If it has a dial for the EPA, the pot could be worn.

If you have any doubts about the end points on the throttle channel you can plug a spare servo in that channel and see how much throw you have in real life. Bit hard to see any moverment using the ESC;)
