Hey, I rolled my Maxx the other day on the street in front of my house. I
was tuning it up before I got in the car and headed out with it since it's
been several months since I drove it last. When I landed upside-down (no
body on), I heard a funny "pop" sound, and when I approached, I saw the fuel
tank kinda wet. Then when I Was picking it up and flipping it, a little
fuel squirted out from the bottom outside rear corner of the tank. Then
when I hit the throttle, the pressure started spraying the fuel out. Since
it was badlky leaking and I had less than half a tank, I sped it of spraying
fuel all over the place, partially b/c I was ticked off.
Now, is there any way I can seal the tank myself? I's not shattered,
there's just a straight fracture along the bottom corners where the sides
meet the bottom. I figure super glue might be dissolved by the fuel, but
what about Hot Glue? This would be just a temporary fix, I know, but I want
something I can use for a few "easy" running sessions, because I am about to
begin working for the summer, but I don't get my first paycheck for a few
more weeks, and my bank account is starting to run low.
So any suggestions? I PERMANENT fix would be awsome. Thanks!
