Does anyone else with the Savage 25 have problems with their brake hub
stripping the inside of the disc? I have gone through 2 of them already. Any
ideas or suggestions on how to solve this problem? Thanks

I had the same problem with mine. After the first one stripped, I went with
the dual disk setup that HPI makes and haven't had a problem in a few months
(yet... knock on wood!). There are some other companies that make the same
setup. One of them that I have heard good things about is ENVY Racing....

Other than that, I don't know what to tell ya... except to just replace it!

I ordered the brake kit that you sent me the link for. I should have it by
Thursday. I will let you know how it works. I ordered the purple brake hub as
well....which was highly recommended by the savage central store. Also, are
your driveshafts starting to wear out the couplings?

I'm definitely interested to know how that kit works out for you! I thought
about getting it, but I opted for the HPI Dual Kit -- it was cheaper and my
funds are a little limited!!! The shafts are starting to wear the couplings
a little. I don't really know how to fix it other than to upgrade to the HD
ones from HPI. I've heard (read on the forum) both good and bad things
about them though!!! The Savage Central forums are great places to get info
about the Savage... anything you want to know!

you mean something like this

http://www.marknowak.co.uk/images/ebay/wtf.jpg

This happened on my first run round the park after breakin

I got the HPI dual disk brake set and absolutely love it. It will flip the
car easily ;-)

I have now added a light spring on the link rod between the servo arm and
the adjustor. This gives me now extremely controllable brakes rather than
the on / off braking i had with the rubber tube!!! And no more brake fade
too 8-)

An excellent mod

I have just ordered a Futaba 3PK-B PCM radio because i hate the one that
comes with the savage 25.

Cheers, Mark
