I posted this in the sport forum as this forum wasn't active at the time. Though it might get some better exposure here. Pics too.

From RCM plans.
Dewalt Drill Motor, 3:1 16 cells, 16x8 prop.
Covered w/ Sig Koveral and painted with store brand spray paint. Eventhough it was the same brand the white repelled the black :(
Haven't done the ghost on the wings yet.
Ready to fly as soon as I get a receiver for it.

Great looking plane. I saw this palne in a mag about a year ago and liked the looks of her. I wouldn't know hwere to start building the wings though. Did you enlarge a set of plans to build it?

Thanks VIntage...

Mike;
The one from a year ago was the speed 400 version. The 96" version was a construction article in RCM around 1990ish. Once of the first R/C mags I got. Knew I had to build the plane when I saw it. Finally got around to it. Started the plane around 2000, but the directions were WRONG and I ended up building a droopy gull wing. Originally I had it set up for a .61 4 stroke, but now it sports a Dewalt Drill motor.
Just heading to the field now for the maiden.

BTW, the wing isn't hard to build at all. They caution you about being very accurate with the dihedrial braces as it sets the angles. Well they were labeld wrong, so the first wing was droopy. Spoke with Jim P at Toledo last year. He siad he never heard of a droopy wing. After a few weeks he called me and informed me of the mislabeled dihedrial braces... 2nd one went togeather a lot better :)
Here's a link to some building pics.

Quite an inspiration to us Die Hard Electric R/C modelers and Electric R/C flyers! :) I am sure you will get some stares at the Club especially from those IC (GASSER) flyers! :D

My biggest model so far is the SKY RAIDER MACH-I (5lbs. 2 1/8 oz.) model from WORLD MODELS. It's so refreshing to see someone go the extra mile and Electrify this size / weight model ! :)

Congrats and Hope to see your POST FLIGHT (MAIDEN) report.

Awesome - I love the spook. I agree it is one of the few old timers that I can really get excited about.

Lets us know how the flights went!

As expented no surprises. :)

Well it has a luck luster climb out on 16 cells. WIll probably go to 18. It does cruise around at less than 1/2 throttle.
