A really good show which had a fair sprinkling of new boats. As I somehow managed to not record the details of each pic with the voice function, I've had to rely on memory. Ho-hum!

First there is a novel conversion of the Revell Flower corvette to a tug, and the original done very nicely.

A very crisp warship medal winner.

A lobster boat with a closer detail pic. - got a lot of attention.

A beautifully completed destroyer with a full crew.

No show would be complete without a *******

A lakeland steam launch very well presented. Scale crockery etc in the cabin finished it off nicely.

How's this for an impressive fishing boat. Lots of detail and looked the part.

Why did they spoil the over all look of this nicely done aircraft carrier by placing an out of scale Swordfish and an inappropriate helicopter on the deck?

The queue to get in - and we got there early!

I was very attracted to this yacht - not sure why, but I just liked it.

Away from the usual run-of-the-mill models, a nice DUKW.

This mean machine looked a bit quick.

A submarine - what more can you say?

There will be some detail pics from the show posted in 'Scale' later today, I hope.

Tks, Tonyo. It's alway's nice to see what's happening back "home" and drool for a while.
Btw, the exhibition always had a good steam selection. Any sign of that, other than the lakeland launch.

Nice boats with a ton of detail! I did notice the Biplane on the aircraft carrier, a little out of scale and it doesn't fit in with the Jets onboard.

Final pics - The Kirklees Club stand was one of a number which put on a great display of models despite being a little cramped into one corner of the show. I particularly liked this stand because of the wide variation of boats on show and the obvious enjoyment the members on the stand got from their attendance.

It's a very progressive club and they were handing out leaflets on the club and its activities. They are having an Annual Gala Day on 11 July in aid of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution - nice to see an inland club helping this way.

I took the opportunity to visit their website at www.kirkleesmodelboatclub.org.uk which is worth a look.

Tony,

Once again, an impressive display of modeling.
I may have to check out the local "power" show this year.
