What is the preferred method of attachment? Velcro? rubber bands? Through the fuse in a 360 degree wrap? Next to the carbon fiber rod running through the fuse? The plane is a Tim Hart 3DX and the battery will end up 90 % of it ahead of the front of the wing. Thanks and any pictures would help. Tried some searches and found one rubber band method and was hoping for something better.

I've used both and I like the rubber band. One 64 band will hold a 3s 1200 in place securely, but it's a good idea to use two. I just cut two slits in the foam on either side of the upright battery, reinforce with fiber tape, feed the band through and then tie the two rubber band ends together with a length of 26 gauge insulated wire or a twist tie. I tried just tying it with string, but it seems string would cut the rubber if you put much force on it.
Not elegent, but quick and functional for sure. It seems to hold the battery more upright and tight to the fuse side than velcro.

Thanks NewbieX for the ideas. I went ahead and used velcro in a 360 degree
loop. There does seem to be a little slop as you said. May change and use the rubber band method down the road. Thanks again.

As i wrote in a post some time ago, i use 3M "Dual-Lock" velcro, very strong.
Only a bit difficult to find...
