Metal parts....are they available??

Hi all. I am a bit naffed off with some parts of my heli being plastic. Not
so much being plastic bothers me but the bloody price of little plastic
parts. I know plastic parts have the advantage of breaking without affecting
other parts of machinery, but why can some parts not be a lightweight metal
like the main gear. Is there a friction issue with things like that. By now,
you will probably figure out that i'm a total beginner. Cheers
guys.........and gals if there are any. :)
