Hangar 9® understands that learning to do anything, whether it’s driving a car or figuring out a new computer, can be frustrating at first. That’s why we’ve taken steps to ensure that initial flying exploits are as simple as can be. Hangar 9’s Alpha™ 60 RTF is a larger version of the popular, beginner-friendly Alpha 40. This Alpha offers a whopping 72-inch wingspan, making it easier to see and allowing more time to react if something goes wrong. The flat-bottom wing provides self-righting flight characteristics that make the Alpha easy to control, and can be attached using either rubber bands or bolts.
The Alpha 60 comes with a JR® Quattro radio system and the innovative Evolution Engines™ .61NT with a low-noise three-bladed prop and flywheel, engineered specifically for beginning pilots. No break-in, tuning, running or engine expertise is needed, and all engine and radio components come factory-installed. The Alpha 60 RTF is easy to assemble and ready to fly in less than one hour.
