View Full Version : Throttle Jockey Pro - Glitching???

I have recently installed one these things into a Raptor V2 with an OS50.
Before installation throttle and pitch curves are working properly and heli
is flying nicely. I set up the TJP as per the instructions on their website
for a JR PCM9X and all looks well. In monitor mode you can see the changes
being made for the the relevant ATV and head spead on the right AUX channel.
But....even when the TPJ is not engaged, but is wired into the system, it
causes uneven running or glitching of the throttle servo. If you engage the
TJP the same problems occur. When you take it our of the equation again the
engine runs fine.
Does anyone have any ideas please?

Idea #1: The TJP thinks you have a super fast servo, but you dont.
Idea #2: Check the plugs and wires. Do you use any extensions etc? (is everything fully pluged in etc.)
Idea #3: Recalibrate and check operation on bench. Does it do this only while flying or always?

What servo are you using, the new TJ Pro supports high frame rate and super
servo's. You might no have a compatable servo, if its not the pro,or vice
versa. DOUG

One thing I found, was that if your ATV goes outside -100 - +100 then the
calibration will go wrong and the TJP thinks you have a super servo. I
recall this causing a kind of glitching. You can tell this if the orange
light comes on.
