Are there any know problems using a Hitec servo with a KO Propo
receiver? I just picked up a Hitec HS-625MG and it jitters like crazy
when plugged into any of the 3 KO Propo KR-301F receivers I have.
Works just fine with my Airtronics receiver.
It only jitters when moved quickly to either extent. If I turn the wheel
slowly, it's fine. If I turn the wheel as fast as I can, it will go all
the way in the direction I turn and sit there jittering for 15 or 20
seconds. Then it stops jittering and seems to work fine unless I move it
really quickly again.

An excellent choice for a steering servo.
Servos jitter when they are loaded or when they exceed their spec'ed
range of motion. They will actually travel beyond their spec range,
but then they jitter. The 625MG only has 90 deg of travel. Decrease
the steering End Point Travel (EPA) on your transmitter to keep the
servo in range. If your wheels don't turn enough when you do this,
move the linkage further out on your servo horn.

Thanks for the tip. I turned my EPA right down to about 20% and it
didn't seem to help. The servo will jitter even in the neutral position
if I move it quickly. It happens less if I turn the steering speed down
a lot, but what is the point of having a higher-speed servo then?
I cranked the EPA on my Airtronics radio right up to max and the servo
was still rock solid.
I'm going to bring the servo down next race day and see if it happens
with any other systems.
Thanks again for the advice.
