i did my first inverted rolling autos last weekend and wow. i thought it was gonna be impossible, but if your comfortable with lots of 3d then they are a piece of cake... now the hard part, how low can your auto go :D

Well, I autod once, cost a small wedge and needed the spade to get the parts out.
There, that will probably be my only post in 3D, maybe one day!

Hey, i must sound like a total loser, but how do helicopters fly inverted? i'm a plane junkie :) , but some of the videos in here are pretty sick. just tryin to figure out how some of that stuff is possible! thanks for the help.

Model helicopters have positive pitch in the main blades as well as negative pitch. We normally run around 10 positive and 10 negative, equal pitch both positive and negative so the heli has no idea its upside down or rightside, and flies idenical upside down as it does upright. we also run about 6 degrees pitch on cyclic(ail, ele) if you have any more question feel free to ask!

Wait, so you can control the pitch of the rotors? i'm still a lot confused on how you could stay in control when doing rolls or switching from right side up to inverted. how would you do a loop?
thanks again,

the main rotor blades change pitch, both positive and negative. at half stick you have 0 pitch, and full stick you have 10 degrees, so you will climb, and at low stick you have -10 degrees. when you do a loop, you have full stick, pull back until you are inverted and put the stick at about 0degrees, and wait for it com around and slowly start feeding more pitch in until you pull out level. same as a roll, but with a little more negtive pitch and faster:)
