Hello new at this forum I am building a RC blimp and looking for expert opinions and asembly technicks. There are so many diferent blimps out ther but I want to buil somthing realy different.
I live in VAL des MONTS QUEBEC ther is no blimps in this region exept for the Ottawa senetors one. I want to biuld a space ship something like the star treck version or so it would be about 12 feet long white of course. the gondola is vaccuformed from 0.15 polystyreen and in the shape of the fuselage of the uss enterprise
I am ussing all GWS electronics with twin ducted fans EDF50 A

My questions are to the builders out there !!!

how the mend 2 mill vinyl PVC together (heat or glue )

Fill plugs what are you using to stop the escape of helium.

I cubic meter of helium =35.31 cubic feet= 2.2 pounds of lift !!!

thank you

Buildex, May I suggest that you just have your bags custom made?

thanks for the advice i will be looking at that option as soon as i have a total weight of the craft, right now the fuselage and basic shapes are done, carved out of styrofoam and now making the molds to reproduce the shapes and components out of plaster of paris so i can vaccuform the parts of the craft out of .20 mill polystyreen . the interior will have a ducted section for the rear tail duct that will rotate somting like a jet skie using a small EDF 30 ducted engine and on both sides of the craft will house both fans that will rotate 360 degrees ( big project) I built a hover craft full size with a 800 pound payload a few years ago and various other crafts, all with the help of the internet ,I also do a lot of machine work on parts prototyping
So having fun and thanks again
