NYC sailboats at park! I want to try one!

I am in NYC for a week (until thursday) This is my 3rd time in NYC and everytime I am in NYC I run by central park and see a the little bond were RC sailboats are raced. I would really like to rent one or watch someone sail. Does anyone know the times they rent sailboats and if anyone will be there sailing that I can watch?

Post this question at either www.rcsailtalk.com or www.rcsailing.net and see if anyone who is a member of the club there reads those. Not many boaters use this site. If you ask nicely when you see them someone would probably let you try.

Go to www.amya.org and check their listing of clubs in NY. They list all the sailing clubs in the country on this site. I belong to a few clubs in CT and I know for a fact that the central park club is listed in NY. You'll be able to get at least an e-mail contact at that club to answer your questions.
