I'm having trouble with my outboard. It wants to flame out after a full throttle run. That is when I back out of it , it dies.
Any help or advice would be great, Thanks

I had the same problem a couple of seasons ago with my K&B .21 Outboard. I eventually solved it by going through all of the steps that fellow modelers gave me. In the same helpful spirit, I'll pass them on and hopefully they solve yours as well. And remember, never test out of the water (no prop-load). If you do, you could very well stretch the con rod, and require a costly part and rebuild.
1. Start over from the beginning with your fuel mixture. For the K&B.21 that means closing the mixture and them re-opening it 4 to 4 1/2 turns. run it rich (barely able to idle slow throttle responce) all the way to the top of the throttle and see if she'll hold rpm. If it does, then you know the engine was simply leaning out before and problem solved
2. Replace all of the fuel lines. Tiny nicks, cracks and pinholes may very well lean-out the motor at high rmp
3. Shorten the fuel lines.
4. Try running the fuel tank un-pressurized (disconnect the exhaust pressure tap line)
Hope this helps!

I would kind of like to know what you finally concluded the problem to be? :)
