If you have the FMS interface cable for your transmitter, you will love the way MIA Sub Micro helis flies in FMS.
If you have a spare PIC Interface cable (JR or Futaba compatible) to work with Windows 2000 or XP, Let mre know via Email. Photos of MIA Helis in FMS world follow.

The simplicity yet power of FMS is what inspired the creation of the Bumble Bee Sub Micro for FMS. Here is a better picture.

Some of you have probably seen other simulators which in some people's minds are probably better than FMS, but don't the simplicity of this freeware FMS software fool you. Wait till you see what I have stored next. It will rock-n-roll!
I am wondering how many out there have used FMS?
If you have, kindly indicate which models turn you on and which ones turn you off. .

I was sure there was a forum for simulators. Maybe I was wrong, eh ?

This one is for the MIA Falcon Sub-Micro Heli.
I'd appreciate your comments.

I have FMS and think it has training value. I have commented before that none of the heli's are perfectly realistic (too stable because there is no wind or turbulence in FMS that I know of). So my approach is to fly all of the heli models, in all orientations and flight modes, to build up the ability to react to "anything".
The models that "turn me on" are the free ones! After all, it's a free sim, so why invest too much in add-ons.
I'm not sure what your intent with the Sub-Micro Bee "model" is. If you are going to post it "free", then that would be appreciated. If you are trying to sell/barter for it, then I'll pass. For those who don't know, the parameters of a model in FMS are described in a text file, so you can take an existing model and alter it's response to suit your taste.
With respect to the transmitter interface, I burned my own PIC 16F84 serial interface using firmware found free on the net (along with artwork to etch the PCB). This is XP compatible, but I made it for a Hitec Tx. Frankly, you can buy a Tx interface cheap enough that it isn't really worth the hours to build another for "trade". After all, you can't value one more than about $25.

You can alter FMS for more realistic conditions, like wind and turbulance, as well as the model parameters.
I have played with FMS since its conception but never had as much fun as I am having now with the models I've created and FMS Version 7.x.
I am not using a cable interface, just flying it with the keyboard. The flights are very realistic and the control feels just right.
I am sure with a cable interface to your transmitter it will be much much better.
This is in Micro Helis because I want top make a parallel comparison to the real micro helis, I would like micro heli enthusiasts' opinions as soon as I post a video of MIA 's Bumble bee and Falcon flying in FMS.
I think every micro heli beginner pilot should give FMS before or in parallel with whatever micro sub micro heli you are flying. It is addictive and loads of fun with the right model, parameter file and visul environment.
I will make both the MIA Bumble Bee and Falcon Sub-Micro files available for download. I am tweaking them a bit. I want as much realism in looks as well as performance.

Information on the PIC based serial interface can be found here:

I built the PIC 16F84 Version 2.00 and it works great.
FWIW, an RC transmitter had much better pots/gimbals than a "gaming" joystick that I had, making FMS even more enjoyable to use.

Mario,
I should have commented that your graphics look good. Best color is probably a personal preference. The more helis, the better.

Thanks Omega DOT but I have been actually shooting for, as perfect as one can get with FMS graphics. The photos posted are a bit grainy when you upload them to the forums, but it is a totally different look, more vivid and much more realistic when you see them in your PC under FMS. I am using a resolution of 1024x768. I will be playing with Ral FLight G2 sim when I get it and will see if I can transfer my helis models to such. I have yet to add decal details to all my models.
Will post more as thing develop.
