I am pleased to announce that I just got in my first order of the torcman brushless outrunner motors. They are available in 3 different sizes, TM280, TM 350 and TM 430, although I aven't brought any of the 430's yet.

The numbers refer to the stator diameter in mm, 28mm for the TM280, etc.
They are available as ready-to-run motors, as well as in kit form.
The kit form has the advantage, that by varying the wire size and nuber of winding turns, you can tailor the motor to your paticular application.

The 280 series are available in 4 different stator lengths, 5mm, 10mm, 15mm and 20 mm.
the 350 series are available in 3 stator lengths, 12mm, 20mm and 28mm, although the 28mm version is available as ready-to-run motor only

For more info go to my HP, MTModels (http://www.mkrusa.com) or to torcman's english-language HP : torcman (http://www.torcman.de/index_e.htm)
Assembly instructions and a spreadsheet to calculate and configure your motor can be downloaded from their site.

@opualuan :
I'm working witht the torcman guys on that, as we speak.
However, their "head guru" is on vacation right now, and will be so for another 2 weeks.

@LTChip : the "baby' series has already been officially launched, see here (http://www.torcman.de/index_e.htm) . When I got started with torcman, they were still working on it, so I did not include iot in my line up at the time.
I will get back to you about availability.

JoeR, I had the prices listed right next to the box with the pics in it.

However, you are not the first to ask about this, so I now have the prices listed below the picture box.

Michael,

Thanks. I swear I looked all over for the pricing. Below the pictures works well for me.

Just curious I would have thought the roll your own versions would have been cheaper. On the small motors its only a $1 less then the ARF version.

JoeR, your comment made me go back to my HP, and check the prices, and sure enough, I had messed up when converting from Euros to $

So, yes, the difference between the kit and RTR motors is more than just $1 ....

Michael, I guess I should have kept my mouth (fingers) quiet! Quite a price increase on the ARF models! Ouch!
