View Full Version : Better Blades

Fellow Addicts-
I've been flying on the stock wood blades(Caliber 30 OS 32) and as I'm
getting pretty confident in my abilties now (outright cocky I'd say) I'm
thinking about trying different blades.
Can someone shed some light on what it is that different materials, weights
and styles might do for me and why I would want to invest hard earned money
in a set and where I should go from here?
Thanks
Vince

Sorry guys,
been away from the NG for a few days.
Thanks for the advice: will look into funkys.
What I still don't know for sure is how they help me.
They must be more slippery if they will increase my headspeed for a given
throttle setting.
Does being stiffer make make them more responsive?
The wooden blades seem pretty stiff to me.
Guess I'll just try and watch and learn.
Thanks
Vince

Yeah mainly more efficient. At the 30 size I don't really notice big
differences in blades. The bigger ships make more difference.
Stiffer blades will help with agility, as there is less give in them. But
then the trade off is that they will be more jumpy in a hover.
