Hi, group.

Does anyone know what size bearings the Raptor 30-1 use on the upper and
lower main shaft and starter shaft? Actually a complete listing for this
bird would be welcome.

Paul,

Sent you an email direct which may be helpful, with attached table of
bearing sizes for the V2 Raptor.

Tim,

Thanks a lot for that. I have ordered a bunch of bearings for that heli so
I will have complete sets in stock soon. I am guessing about $20-30 for a
complete set.

Paul, on your site it says
"This is for a very popular .40-.50 size rear bearing. Notice that with oil
lubrication, this bearing is rated for 26,000RPMs MINIMUM" (on the FAQ). I
think that's meant to say Maximum.

lol it's in capitals for a reason. Paul, I think that part of the FAQ is FAR
too subtle ;) no offence Carl. Have a look at the table just above the
'26,000RPMs MINIMUM' bit.

waaaaaaaay over my head ;-) I've had a second look but it still looks like
someone thought "r/min" means "minimum rpm"..

I looked at the *other* table. The clearances one.. and I can't make sense
of any of it to be honest. Some of the text was interesting to read but the
tables don't make any sense to me..

OMG, I apologise most profusely m8. You are indeed correct and r/min would
in fact = rpm.

The rating is the minimum required to meet their requirements. The bearing
will handle at least that RPM.

No, the r/min is revs per minute. That is the rating they have to meet
which means that they are at least capable of that.

The tables are illustrative only. To fully understand them you have to read
a lot more info. Basically, it shows the ranges of clearances for the
different rating methods. Also note that there is a fair amount of overlap
between the various ratings.

If you want the full info, I would be glad to go into it for you.
