View Full Version : Internal pitch gauge on Raptor 50V2

I am a little confused about the internal pitch gauge on the Raptor 50.
A friend of mine told me to centre the sticks, adjust the links so the
internal gauge is set to 0 degrees. Then put my pitch gauge on the blades
and check/adjust that the blades and flybar is paralell.
But if I haven't misunderstood, on raptortechnique.com it says that the
centre position on the internal pitchgauge is slightly above the 0-mark.
"It is the point at which there is equal travel up and down"
Can someone explain this to a newbie??

Philip, no I can't, but don't worry anyway. The only pitch guage you are
really interested in i the one you use on the blades. The moulded in one is
a guide.
Set you pitch guage on the blades and go from there. You don't want zero
pitch at mid stick though, as thats the hovering pitch. Set them, as a
newbie, so you have about -4 degrees bottom stick and +10 for full stick.
You might drop that upper one a bit if the engine bogs.
Then fine tune the throttle and pitch to give you a hover at half stick.
In IU1 and IU2 the pitches you will want to change, but as a newbie don't
worry yet.
More worldly group contributors might modify what I have said, but it seems
to work for me so I don't think I'm a zillion miles away.
