Anyone know of any Astro Flight 109's in stock?

I've been out of the loop for a month on vacation and a couple of
non-vacation trips, so I'm not sure what the status is lately. Also, I was
only half-paying-attention *before* the travel period, so I'm not sure where
the discussions have gone lately WRT lithiums.

Anyway, about a year ago I acquired some of those Qualcomm phone packs, that
come with a pair of 840mah (?) LiIon cells, the standard cylindrical cells.
I still haven't made use of these, but with the proliferation of modern
charger and ESC designs, I'm thinking about using them for a GWS Tiger Moth.

I'm curious what the current sentiment is toward these cells, with regards
to safety and reliability? I would be using a true lithium charger
(preferably the AF109), and I would use the Castle Pixie 7P with the cutoff
rate for LiIon - so the pack would be stripped down to bare cells, getting
rid of the circuitry built into the pack.

Am I a fool to use these when I can get LiPoly's for reasonable costs?

In a stock ips applcation like the tiger moth, you actually gain very little
by going lipoly over the old qualcom 830's.

They are best at 2 amps or less which is what ips's draw, and a 2 cell pak is
under 2 oz so no downside there either. The only real reason to go lipo on
a plane like the TM is to either try for faster climb through weight loss, or
to get even longer flights by having a bigger lipo at the same weight.
Considering however you may get flights up to one hour on the qualcoms, its hard to
justify using the more expensive batts.
