I have been waiting for my AMA renewal membership from AMA to arrive, and while waiting, I tried to log onto the AMA website. It seems to be down. Also did a google search on AMA, and the header on google says:
Welcome to Modelaircraft.org, today is Monday, March 08, 2004. ... AMA is currently
discussing the NPRM with the attorneys who represent AMA before the FCC. ...
Can someone tell me what this means?

The site is working fine as far as I can see.

According to the site the NPRM is a Notice of Proposed Rule Making and concerns the actions which may be required with regard to the possible radio interference issues connected to the proposed use of powerlines for Broadband. The AMA are apparently consulting with their attorneys before formulating a strategy to take to the FCC.

The AMA site has been undergoing upgrading and it is down when the actual upgrades take place. Generally, it is not down for long. Keep trying.
