airfoil duplication

I have some wing cores that were cut years ago, before cnc came along. I would now like to duplicate them on a cnc cutter. How can I accurately plot the coordinates so I can feed them into a cnc cutter?

Place each end on a scanner?
copy as large as possible, and put in a program that can read the x,y locations of the mouse...

Also, use the scanner on the ends of the core beds too. Then you can determine if there is any twist.
