A general question about R/C and batteries... land & water
I have an old Robbe EF76 II motor that is installed in a speed boat,
that has been sitting in the basement for maybe 15 years :)
I seem to recall having a battery sleeve
of maybe 8 NiCd cells, probably of sub-c size (9.6v)
with a listed capacity of say 1600mah.
I recently grabbed a small AA pack of 9.6v 1100mah
and tried it out in the old boat.
The boat ran ok....but not with the zip I remember.
Would a 1600mah - 2200mah battery pack perform better,
or is there something about a "larger" physical battery
that can deliver better "peak" demand ???
ie - how would a sub-c 1600mah battery perform
vs a 2200 AA battery pack ?
