Can I use my JR and Futaba radios with this version and if so what do I need?

I think you dont need any thing. It comes with a controler with hook-ups for both

This is the old deluxe version...very basic, no other plugs for the controller, it has one cable that comes out of it and goes right into the computer.

AFAIK any of the many joystick or USB interfaces sold for use with FMS etc will also work with RF Deluxe. E.g. http://www.rc-electronics.co.uk/

There are plenty of others available, have a look at the sites in the sticky at the top of the forum.

Me again! O.K. I got a cable that is said to work with the deluxe that I have, but it plugs into the printer port on my computer and can't seem to get it to work, any ideas how I can set it to recognize my radio through the printer port?

Where did you get it from ? The only parallel port cable I've seen that will work with RF Deluxe is the old RealFlight transmitter Interface Adaptor and that needs special software installed for RF to recognise it.

As I said earlier joystick or USB interfaces work. Perhaps you can contact whoever sold you the cable for more information.

I did not buy this cable, I got it from my uncle, he was using it and it worked fine but that was a while ago and I don't know if he remembers how to use it. Where could I get this software you are talking about?

When I first bought Realflight it was the Deluxe version. There wasn't any G2 version. I also bought the parallel port transmitter adapter as a separate item. There was no special software for the adapter, it was supported internally by Deluxe but you had to install it separately. The only problem was getting it to be recognized by Deluxe since there are at least 3 types of parallel printer port standard drivers, like ECP, PPP, etc. I had to try each one in the computer's BIOS but eventually one of them worked and it seems to be different with each machine.

I hope this helps. If not you could visit the Knifeedge user forums and do a search on adaper problems. BTW, I'm still using the adapter with the latest version of G2.

Interesting because when I bought my RF interface adaptor it came with a CD called "Transmitter Interface Upgrade" without which it wouldn't work. Perhaps it's just that early versions of RF Deluxe did not directly support the adaptor. Maybe you have a recent enough version to support it without the upgrade. Hope so ;).
