But people like me who are also fanatics, much prefer top posting, and get very
annoyed by those who persistnatly bottom post when it is clearly inappropriate
and thoughtless

etiquette is for wankers who want to "put on the dog", and has nothing to do
with good manners, or consideration for others. I top post because it shows
consideration for the reader, except in cases like this where middle posting is
more appropriate

David - who believes that one should use ones intelligence in all things, and
not just blindly follow some wankers idea of what is 'etiquette' - after all,
we all have to grow up some day.and make our own decisions

Try doing <CTRL><END> simultaneously while you think about engaging your
brain to type... it really doesn't take that long. Failing that ditch the
pile of crap called LookOut Express and use a proper newsreader that will
put the cursor in the right place from the start...

And while I'm at it can all you eejits that use LookOut Express please go
and install 'quotefix" because there is nothing worse than reading quoted
text produced by LookOut Express. That is actually one of its more
serious failings.

I wouldn't say I'm a Usenet fanatic. See below.

I just found it made fair sense. Not my words though, it was just a paste
from a page I read a while back:
http://www.caliburn.nl/topposting.html

How about cross-posting? I'm willing to bet Net etiquette says something
about that, too. I stripped off the newsgroup addresses that I participate
in....anybody who replies to this post can do the same and maybe that will
kill this thread on all the newsgroups.

If you get this upset over a posting method, how are you going to cope in
the event of real adversity...

Good point - maybe a nervous breakdown if he skins his knee?
