How about the satisfaction fo seeing an opponent's ship slip under the
surface, or the stark terror when you realize that you're going down
next & there's nothing that you can do about it?

From personal experience I can tell you that it is with great satisfaction that you view an opponents ship slip under the surface of the water:D
It is truely a wonderful thing to see an allied pig dog begin to list and from its heavy butt slip stern first as the girlie man skipper runs crying along the bank:cool:
