Wow, that's pretty cool Mike! Glad to see you've done airframes that most other flat foam guys haven't done

I know, the Edge has been overdone! I am working on my Cap design, extra to follow and then the Pitts.
The flying stab and 70 degrees of throw makes this little edge way better than those who have "edged" before me!

mycamel,
We're neighbors! I'm looking for a 3D plane right now. How do flat foam planes handle in the KS wind? You know as well as me, that's a consideration around here.
It's good to know you're right down the street.
Take care,
Brad

0 mph - great fun!!!!
5 mph - lots of fun
10 mph - fun, but torque rolls float away
35 mph - be prepared to buy a new plane cause you won't find yours!

Mike- Actually I don't think the Edge is too overdone. I haven't seen many, besides what people scratch build. I think the Pitts would be a great addition too, it's design is just ASKING for 3D.

Thanks for the input! The main thing I am trying to do with my kits is to offer a great airframe and all the "stuff" you need to get in the air. The jumbo guys (I'm one of them) have tons of questions about how to get started in the foamy electrics.
I am offering a one stop store where you can get a proven design and all the gear.
I suspect the Foamies will be out in force this summer at fly-ins and contest.
I hope to have video up soon on the site. You got to see the performance with the flying stab and flaperons.
Lastly, I have spent a ton of time perfecting the CNC part of the design. I also have CNC carbon fiber control horns for sale on the site.
Thanks for looking and pass along any ideas you might have.

It's nice to see someone close. I'm in S.E. Kansas. Maybe I can carry and sell some of your kits.

What browser are you using.
I'm new at this website thing, so I might have something messed up on my end.
I can pull it up fine using IE 6.0

It's working now! Good looking site. Do you plan on selling plans or just the kits?
mycamel
Feb 20, 2004, 12:11 AM
Sorry,
No plans. My kits are priced low enough that it is tough to justify cutting one yourself. Mine comes with the Depron, carbon rods, Fancy Foam carbon fiber control horns and all the other misc hardware.
By the time I sold you plans, and you bought the materials, it would actually cost you more.
Plus, we go to the extra trouble of cutting servo pockets and all the rod slots with great accuracy.
The idea here is to make this a one stop shop for guys wanting to join the foamy revolution.

The kit looks great! I'm just the consummate do-it-yourselfer. Well, almost. It’s nice to have the plans :D But I've got to admit, for $35.00 with all hard the work done for you, it looks like a great deal.

Just thought I'd let everyone know, I got a video posted.
Hard to find a February day in Kansas that is warm enough and less than 25 MPH winds!
Got some good shots and it's only the second flight on this airfame!

Cap specs are as follows:
37" wingspan
355 in sq. wing area
12.5 oz AUW with paint and 4 servos.
The paint shown on the demo plane is Krylon "short cuts". Adds almost no weight and looks great.
Thanks,
Mike Hammel
