Order confusion from rcmart

[92LT]

Anyone here place an order from rcmart.com? I placed an order from them for a speed control and a couple other items, but I got someone elses stuff. They sent me some GPM MH110 alloy rims for an HPI micro RS4 instead of the parts I ordered. I know the odds are slim, but I figured I have nothing to lose by posting this. Maybe the person who got my stuff instead will see this post. matty.s@excite.com

Call RCMart and ask them to have the package picked up with a "call
tag". that way you won't have to pay to return their mistake.

I may be wrong, but if any business sends you a product that you haven't
asked for, then it's yours free and clear. Then they still have to send you
the product that you actually paid for.

Well... that may be true, but why would you wanna do that? really.
While I would rather not pay to ship-back someone else's mistake, as long as it
didn't cost me anything, I would like to think that I (personally) would do the
*right thing* and return the goods at their (shipping) expense of course.

I wouldn't bet on that... not if they have your credit card info on file. If
the packing slip / invoice shows you actually got what you ordered, but the
physical product isn't what you actually ordered, what's keeping them from
believing you if you don't return the stuff?

Be ethical... just call them and return the stuff.

Not everything that is legal is moral, but they have the burdon of proof to
say that you actually ordered the merchandise they sent you. I was just
explaining one option that would keep you from being out the shipping
charges and time, not to mention the pain of getting them to correct their
bad shipment.

Businesses don't have conscieus's (sp?). Their only form of morals is the
net profit. If you don't speek up for yourself or take the legal options
that you do have, then you are encouraging more bad business practices.

The law is in place to keep companies from shipping unsolicited items
and then charging you for it.

That is not the case here; the poster bought items and was
mis-shipped.

A mistaken shipment is not evidence of poor corporate morals; it was
obviously an accident.

So lets go back to the source. Is return shipping paid or not? If return
shipping is not paid, then are they charging the original poster for the
product or withholding his lawfully bought original product?

return it for free.
