Some more:
http://www2u.biglobe.ne.jp/~koguro/contents.htm (Japanese, but you can run it through Babelfish and get usable results). I've built AR10 (lost model alarm), MG10 (micro actuator driver) and ST11 (digital servo tester) and they work very well!
If anyone needs a PCB for AR10 I've designed one which I can post here. Size of PCB is 10x20mm, single sided.
http://home.arcor.de/d_meissner/d_logg2_engl.htm
DIY datalogger. Built this using my own PCB but kinda screwed up the PCB while soldering so I'll be buying a new PCB as soon as funds permit.. :D
http://www.welwyn.demon.co.uk/fms_lead/fms_lead.htm
DIY FMS lead. Built this for my Eclipse 7, works perfectly.
http://www.rc-scale.com/francais/_electronique/projet_comptetours.html
DIY tachometer. Read the French page, it has an updated version of the software. One might have to experiment with different phototransistors though.
Picture of AR10 below:

I have been developing a web site to document my experiences as I try to learn how to program PICs.
I have no formal training in electronics or programming. All detail presented is on an "as is" basis. Most of the material has not been field tested. Use it with caution. No guarantees are offered. I am not offering any support or services.
My thanks to my mentors - CatsEyes, Michele Schieppati, Mr. RC-CAM, TugBoat and Zagisrule!

Hi folks
For a change of pace from RC Soaring where my cheapie Hitech G325 fast charger was ample, I am looking at dabling in some Tamiya Mini 6 cell (1700ma micad) racing. I never did ever get the efficiency discharge things on the G325 charger to function sensibly so am looking for a circuit to discharge the cells to safe limits tween the races etc.
Any leads would be appreciated.
Thanks

Yes, actually we have just opened the website and at present we have just produced complete documentation for battery chargers. Speed control projects are projects already developed, but we have to compile the documentation... coming soon. Sorry. :p
If you want to have an idea of a typical projects documentation, just look at the BASIC CHARGER:

I hope other projects will come soon.
the table of contents is very appealing...

I'm not good at designing logos, but I do build web sites for a living.
Make sure you use sans serif fonts on screen for readability (Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, ...)
When creating GIF images with a transparent background switch anti aliasing off. That gets rid of the ugly white edges
When linking to external sites, make sure they open in a new window. Not a lot of space left in the content frame to veiw the other site.

Hi fellow DIYers..
I found a cool site here
http://www.sparkfun.com/
They have lots of neat break-out boards and stuff, but the main thing I wanted to tell you guys about is their hot-air systems. I bought one for work and one for home. If you (or want to) do any surface mount stuff, this makes re-work easy! flat packs, hard to remove parts (headers multi-pad inductors, fine pitch flat packs, etc) They have a few different models, but the inexpensive one is the 850a. $125USD It comes with 4 nozzles and does everything you would expect it to... I haven't tried any small bga's yet, but I bet it will do them
Have fun!
Here is an image of some parts I just desoldered in the last few minutes....
It was easy.... just heat them up and move them with tweezers....
