I recently bought two Astro Marine .40s and plan to install them in a hull I'm converting from nitro to electric. The hull has a single flex shaft that exits through the hull at the centerline. Does anyone have info on where I can get a gearbox that will couple these two motors into a single output shaft? //LF:D

www.mackproductsrc.com makes various gearboxes including a 2 into one. Not sure if it will work for your boat but it is worth a look.

Thanks for the info - it looks like one one the twin power units minus the motors would work.

Most hobby catalogs offer some 2 to 1 drive setups with multiple gearing.

You could put one in front of the other.

Ed Hughey in Indy makes a racing ballbearing box for Fast Electrics
that run in the 40,000 RPM range. Several ratios available and very
lightweight, call him at (317) 291-4482. He also has a "0" loss speed
control.
