not true.
Additional channels is needed if you want more "channels" than 6.
For example a governor, retracts or other things that require a seperate
channel...

you will be ok doing the basics, as soon as you want todo 3d then you will
need a new radio, like the jr pcm9x, but untill then stay with what you got
