Gday all
Ive had the TT36pro in my Rappy V1 for the past 14 months. The TT36 has run
flawlessly for this period. About a month ago I struck problems that the
engine would bog down at half stick and I cant seem to work out the problem.
thinking of getting the OS32sx engine for it. Does the OS utilise the same
engine mount that Im currently using for the TT36pro?
Regards
Robbo.

Yup, it's a simple swap and fly job

Yes. So do the TT39 and the Irvine 39H - both have more power and are
cheaper than the OS. I have the Irvine in my Rappy 30 V1 and it's
brilliant - bags of power (for a 30) for 3d.

G'day and fair dinkums (whatever that means :-) .. I've watched Crocodile
Dundee!)..
Other posters have answered your main question.. just a thought though..
I take it you have checked all your fuel lines to check for splits and tears,
the clunk tube to make sure it hasn't turned to jelly, and changed the glow
plug at least twice?
Have you flushed out the silencer and the carburettor to make sure there is
nothing blocking the flow in or out?
Have you checked the clutch lining and bearings to make sure there is nothing
tight or slipping?
Have you made sure the fuel is fresh and shaken each time you use it?
Would hate to see your next post saying... well I've replaced a perfectly good
engine with another perfectly good engine, but I'm still having problems over
half stick...
I did it once with an ASP 61 engine that wouldn't lift the helicopter it was
in.. everyone was quick to say the ASP was a rubbish engine, so I bought
another make (OS, £160). As I dropped the ASP out of it's mount, the clutch
lining dropped out of the bell!!
I am more suspicious now about why something works one day and not the next!

And then there's the "last in line" of the possible problems. That of burnt
oil stuck onto the piston and liner.
If the piston is black, the heat can't escape properly and the engine bogs
under load. A clean up with biological washing powder or anti-freeze is/are
the easy ways to get the black stuff off and the engine back to full
knacker.

********* Yes, I have changed all fuel lines.
and changed the glow

************** Yes, changed plugs a few times

********* Yes, done that also

***********Me too, thats what worries me about changing engines:) he he he
Its really bogging me off. Time is limited to fly like most people, and Ive
spent more time mucking around with it trying to get it to run than actually
flying. Ran great for 12 months, no problems whatsover.

Hmm... before or after the problem developed?
Does the gap between shoes and lining look ok? If it's too big, the shoes will
fling out but not have enough grip on the lining to transmit the torque..
Have you tried a set of headloaders? They can be quite useful for running up
the engine without it taking off.
Have you tried running the heli with an unpressurised fuel tank set up? It
might highlight a blocked nipple that you can't see.
Have you checked the throttle servo to make sure it is working properly.. the
throttle servo on my Ergo 60 is affected by the heat from the exhaust, I have
to heat shield it.
Have you checked the pitch servo to make sure it is progressive and doing what
you expect under load.
Beav suggested checking the inside of the engine for unburnt fuel or crappy
things in the piston ring, etc. That would be worth a try ..
I'm struggling to come up with other things to try....it could just be that the
engine is actually knackered.lol.
