What handling, flight difference would there be between a straight wing, & a wing that tapers & thins with a straight LE.
This is in the context of a fun fly type plane - not neccessarily true 3d....I'm interested to find out why some use a taper & others do not.

Some people like to build more... For fun-flies, a straight wing offers a shorter span for a higher roll rate than a wing of similar area, but tapered.

My understanding is that a rectangular wing has a bit more induced drag -- I doubt this will matter for a fun-fly plane, although it would matter for a thermal duration sailplane.
The rectangular wing will be more resistant to tip stalls. If you want to do snappy tip-stalling aerobatics, though, you may decide on a highly tapered wing (like the Extra, CAP, etc.).
