howdy ya'll. i was wondering if anyone had ever thought about this or if i was just out in space by myself. i haven't tried 1/2a before but i'm gonna tackle it around tax time. the only problrm i see is the nose of the plane is very, very large. might have a problem with prop diameter. and the flimsy foam wing will really need to be beefed up.
any ideas let me know, it's a great flying bird on e power

I personally don't see the point, as the Beaver as is works just fine, and is very versatile. You're right about having to find a prop to clear that cowl, and an engine big enough to swing the prop will most likely rip the model apart.
And (experience talking here) there are few sights that are quite like watching the wings leave, making the fuse into a very expensive lawn dart. Spectacular, but not inspiring...
Too many other models around that will handle the 1/2A to sacrifice the Beaver to a sure-fire disaster IMHO.
