Hi --
I have a customer who has an electric R/C boat and an Airtronics radio
-- he wants to get an electronic speed control (forward only), and I'm
afraid I simply don't know enough about the subject to help him out.
Any suggestions?

There is not enough info; boat size, how big is motor, # of cells which will reflect on motor size. Here goes www.rc-hydros.com is web site for Andy Kunz. Andy's esc are waterproof and watercooled and the price for a 60 amp is $75.00. These esc's are bullet proof, i have 2 of them without bec which means the esc plugs directly into receiver with just 2 of 3 females and you use 9-volt battery for juice. There is one other item you should ask, does customer want reverse? If so you do not need a Schotty diode on motor but if reverse is needed you cannot use a diode. Now a boat needs an esc which is waterproof and cooled and car esc get wet-- GOOD-BYE plus are more expensive. Tell Andy Dennis sent you!

I am using a Jetti Navy in my fast electric sport boat, 14v on a 700 size motor. the ESC is water cooled and works very well. I think I paid around $75 from Hobby Lobby when I was on hols in U.S.A. last summer.

We carry the Rc Hydro's brand of esc and also a new esc that is priced a bit less and very good quality. Check them all out.
