I flew my first gas engine giant with a good running Echo m25 cc motor with its original gas tank and filler cap, now I want to convert to a regular r/c tank with a inlet filler hose and a vent hose like you would set up a glow version. When I checked the original tank to see if the screw on black cap had a vent .it did not the cap was tight and the tank started to swell out , now when I hook up a go to set up my new tank , do I have to plug the over flow vent so now its like its original non vented tank? Please email me or answer the forums so I can install my new tank ASAP I want to test fly my new plane, Thanks Ronplanew@msn.com

Thanks guys Ill leave the vent line open and use a black neopream gas stopper with brass tubes inside, say,[do these gas conversions have a reed valve that sucks the fuel into the carb with no float ?] if I go inverted will the gas come out?????

if your using a typical rc type of tank,a 3 line system is easiest .The supply line/klunk line goes to the carb,a second line can be used for the fill line, you can either add a second klunk to the tank, just make it a little shorter then the supply,or just bend the brass tubing to reach the bottom of the tank. The third line is your normal vent line, only this time it doesnt get connected to your muffler, just have it exit the bottom of the airplane somewhere. You can also just use a two line system with a fuel T.You put the fuel "T" between the tank and the carb, come off the "T" with another line and use a fuel dot.Dont worry about gas going to the carb when fueling, these are pumper carbs and wont let it.Then just vent like above.Very easy
