this is my first post. I recenly started flying and decided to try my hand at spads. My first one was a spadet and though it looked good we could not get it to fly right. It balooned bad and no matter how much I shimmed the wing and adjusted cg it seemed to get worse. The wing was built entirely out of 4 mil which made it a semi-semetrical. I think it had too much lift cause it never wanted to come down.my next one is a debonair and I built it exactly to specs. havent flown it yet. wish me the best.

Looks good, when did it "baloon" ? i had a polyhedral SPAD that balooned real bad under power untill i pranged it one day and after rebuild it ended up with a heap of down thrust on the engine, problem fixed.

it balooned under full power only. but it wanted to fly tail down and it was hard to control. I basicly got frustrated and was tired of messing with it .I'm sure I could have solved the problem, but I want to fly instead of tinker with a plane all day.

Fair enough but "tinkering" is all part of the hobby, even ARF planes need adjustment a lot of the time.
