AMA District V Members (AL, TN, FL, GA, SC, MS and PR)
Is it time for a change in the leadership of District V? Are you ashamed of the District VP's monthly column in Model Aviation? Do the motions he puts before the EC embarrass you? It is time for District V to send an active modeler to Muncie with current knowledge of the technologies involved and the impact they can have on the hobby?
2004 will be a pivotal year for the AMA and particularly District V. Consider the nominees and how much they have done or can do for this District. Will they operate in accordance with the AMA bylaws? Will they make meaningful appointments to AVP and other key positions? Will they be effective representation in Muncie?

I sure hope a non-flaming, non-mudslinging, polite person who wants to improve the hobby wants to run! It would be great if this election doesn't degenerate into what we just saw the past several months here.

I predict that Tony Stilman will take DV if he stays out of the mud and makes himself available.

For the new people that may not have read the closed thread.
Tony Stillman IS a candidate for VP District V. You can see his campaign website at:
http://webpages.charter.net/nneville/nneville/index.htm
He will be officially opening his campaign at the Perry Show at the Georgia National Fairgrounds & AgriCenter, scheduled for Friday (March 5) 5 - 9pm & Saturday (March 6) 8 am - 5 pm , Stop by his booth and ask any questions of him regarding his plans for District V and the AMA.
The incumbent's web site is: http://www.modelair.org/
District V members are urged to study the candidates, their modeling background, contributions to modeling, current involvement and the issues and then vote in September when the ballots are due out along with your membership renewals. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP AT THAT TIME TO VOTE. Also pay particular attention to where the ballots are to be sent. They will be addressed and postage paid. All you have to do is mark your choice and put in the mail. In the last election for District V, 10,000 votes were discarded because the were sent to Muncie rather than the address on the ballot itself.
