How do i connect??????????

I have an M-tronik sonik4 RV15 esc, i need to connect it to my HiTec DCX receiver. I dont know where to put the on/off switch? the esc has the 2 battery and motor wires coming from it then there is the ribbon cable that connects to the receiver. do i put the on/off switch between the esc and receiver ribbon cable connection? if so the problem i have is that there are three (orange, red and brown) cables coming from the esc and i only have red and black cables either side of my on/off switch.
Doeas anyone have any ideas?

Don't use the on/off switch. The esc plug goes directly into channel 2 and steering servo in channel 1. The esc will either have an off switch of it's on or will just turn on when you plug in the battery.
