Got a Reflex from Santa, YIPEE!!. I downloaded the LMH 120 model. I've tweaked and adjusted till I'm blue in the face, but I just can't get the tail to sit still. Help Please.
Phil.

heading hold gyro is called piezo-integral. Turn that on, and youll be good.
Also, try turning off any channel you have assigned to gyro, in the radio setup. Just in case your radio is setting the gyro gain to 0 or something.
I'll be real curious if you can get teh corona sim to hover like the real one. I mean my real corona is hands off stable for 3-4 seconds at a time, but not the sim!
Good luck.
Please report back.

Thanks Don, I'll try it. I'll let you know. If you have any other thoughts on getting Matt's crutch and tail drive to fly right in Reflex, I'd love to see it.

I tried that out, helped a bit. I changed the gyro sensitivity through the the spectrum, but the tail still spins. Either I'm an idiot, or this thing sucks.

If you select piezo integral pls make sure the setting is correct. at 0% it has 0% sensitivity. +100% is max heading hold. -100% is maximum heading lock. Please select something like -55 to -65%

Well, I've tried everything suggested, nothing I do results in any tail control whatsoever. Don, would you be willing to share your PAR file with me? That would make it easier to figure out what I'm doing wrong here. Wolfgang, is there any way to reset the channel assignments to 0 so I can start over?
Thanks Guys,
Phil

Start the Reflex - use CHANNEL ASSIGNMENT in the RADIO menue and follow the instructions in the bottom line.
Use the SAFE AS function to keep that as a standard.
Using the Corona please make sure that the PITCH is unassigned and your pitch stick is assigned to motor.
Unassigning is pretty simple. While a channel is "assigned", the channel box is highlighted. Just use your mouse and click to that channel so that it is not highlighted anymore.
Safe the same setting as CORONA setting.

Phil,
Are you saying you have insufficient tail authority, or that the gyro will not hold the tail in place?
If not enough tail authority, try playing with the TR rpm, and the + and - TR pitch.
This is one of those things that ought to be usefully documented, Wolfgang. What does the TR rpm setting do? How does it interract with throttle, or motor speed?
If the problem is heading hold related, and the settings do not seem to effect it properly, look for a channel assigned as the 'gyro" channel, and try unassigning it, so the manual settings take effect.

Yep, That seems to have done it. The tail has it's moments, but this is much better. Now, to get it to fly like mine.

Phil what did you change?
What do you think of the hovering, compared to a real corona?

I unassigned all but the pertinent channel assignments, and set the gyro properly. I have been away from it for a few days, but I'm sure it will need more tweaking before I get it right. I will try to post a screen shot later today :)
