Have been trying to hover in AF Pro with limited success, I have tried the Cap 232 and the Giles 202toc. Both planes are harder to hover than my 35% gas jobs that I fly all summer at the field.

Pitch control does not seem right, the plane just won't settle down, have tried different rates and C of G settings but have not found a combo the remotely feels like the real thing. Wonder what others have found or what changes they made to have this work more like it should?

thanks

I can hover with both of those at will, haven't changed a thing with either of the planes. I am using my Eclipse transmitter, could never get the included dummy transmitter to trim out right.

I am just the opposite of you, can't hover the real thing at all but can do it all day in the sim. Sorry I am not of much help. Good luck!

I can now torque roll for a while but still does not feel like the real thing, seems that the rudder and elevator authority are not as strong as my real planes. I have played with rates and travel adjustments and it has helped some but still can do the real one better, don't know why.

Go here: http://www.rcsim.de/dl_engine_eng/ It's a mixture of German and English. Then click on "Ipacs", "Aerofly Pro", and then "AFP Flugzeuge" to get to the planes pages. You must be registered and logged in to download the planes. You should see a "Click for Download" button at the right side of each plane's description.

flierbk,

To get the rudder, and elevator authority increased in AFP, try going into the edit screen, click on the rudder, then go over to the box labeled propwash.........increase this number slowly until you get to the desired effect. Then do the same for the elevators, both sides. This should give you the result you are looking for.

Hope this helps you. AFP is THE BEST RC simulator I have ever flown, and I have tried almost all of them. I have been flying RC since 85, and this sim comes closer than anything.

Also, if you want the best 3D plane, with the most lifelike response, snag the Extra 330 from the add-on disk.....it's a keeper with a few adjustments to make it a bit more tail-heavy.

While the Katana is a nice plane, and will do most every maneuver you can throw at it, it feels funny in the air......almost like a Fun-Fly plane instead of a nice big 3D aircraft.

Just my opinions here....nothing more....

Have a great day....

I''ll second the use of the Roland Matt Extra 330S on the expansion disc.

I moved the CG back, increased the control throws, added more expo to my TX, increased the torque and added another couple of horsepower.

Now does great Walls, making for cool Hover entry. Can hover on the spot perfectly (not hands off but controllable). Torque rolls are great (but does fall out quick if not corrected). Feed in a little left aileron and she spins like a top.
