Just what the topic says. So far I have done a MosFet mod 2x2 stack, all wheel drive, rear axel replacement, light kit, under body glow (my mod), http://www.microrccenter.com/forum/uploads/post-27-1070598115.jpg,
body kit, bearing upgrade, metal wheel nuts, and saddle pack rechargable mod (my mod).

replaced the AAA's with 2Cell 1020mah Lithium polymer saddle pack (7.4volts).

added bearings to the front wheels (taking from GWS gearbox for RC planes)

Just replaced the stock motor with a long can 180 (wattage 01794). Had to lengthen the Acura's chasis and modify the body to make it fit.

This thing screams now.

Next up is AWD, and foam tires. need more traction for all this power.

What did you replace the rear axle with?

First I made a one to replace the broken one and then radio shack all of a sudden where sell replacements for 2.49 each plus shipping. I think I paid around $10.00 all together.

Is that for the whole rear axle, includeing the dog-bones.

I just broke the left dog-bone. But i don't think a simple plastic replacement will last much longer than the original, i am going to have to manufacture my own.

They are dogbones. The Radio Shack nearest you may have them in stock or you may have to order them. I had order mine. They are half metal but well worth the money.

well i successfully made a replacement cup part of the dogbone out of metal.

I took a 3mm allen head bolt, drilled out and deepened the head, hacksawed the slot, cut it to length and then filed down the flat on the end. after a little finish filing it fit.

Works great now.

I have six of them and it is hard to find the upgrade parts to upgarde them and I wish it was not so!

They are the cheapest micro R/C with with an AWD kit for them.

I paid 41 for an AWD kit on Ebay, for that price I could have bought 2 1/2 kits for my cars. I feel that Radio Shack is really losing a lot of money buy not grearing up to meet the demand.
Me and all five of my kids love racing in the garage!

I can't wait to be able to trick thm all out!

I have 3 Civic's, 2 Skylines and 1 Supra.
I will be getting another Supra as soon as another white one comes in!

They are cheaper than those Mini-Z's. and just as fast to me!
I have rewound all the motors and they still go about 30 mins on a charge.

Have fun People, we are!

I've had 3. XMODS suck. I will never own another one until they fix the glitchiness, give them fully proportional radio systems, and build them out of better components.

The Mini-Z and the iWaver are so much better then the XMODS.

Besides.. RWD>AWD>FWD.

Xmods are getting a face lift and have new kits coming out this year. They will have new bodies and a different chassis design with a lot of the components sealed. They will be offering cars and trucks with offroad kits. Here is a site that has the best pictures of the chassis on the internet. Http://www.Atomicmods.com -----Tony

I have the 2004 Acura NSX. So far I've put in a Stage 2 motor, stiff suspension upgrade with the tie rod that gives 3 (scale) degrees of toe. Did the headlights and tail lights, but I have to find a better way to mount them...scotch tape won't hold the wires in place. I painted the stock wheels gunmetal and glued the tires onto the wheels, so they won't slip off. Pretty fast for such a small car. I inspired my friend to get the black Skyline. lol.

I don't actively use the car forums on here. Mostly browse the plane/heli areas. So I decided to search and check if there was any mention of xmods on here. I mostly use xmodworld and a couple other forums. I figured that not all people use those forums and may want to see a couple cars I have. The first xmod I got was purchased on ebay as we didn't get half the models in Canada as the states have. Its a 67 Camaro, painted 2003 Chrysler Blue, upgraded FET's, tight turns (surface mount resistors changed to allow for a tighter turning radius), li-polys (taken from one of my planes), awd, upgraded custom wound motors, bearings, c/f drive shaft, and almost all GPM parts. Lowered the body as well.

G/f's corvette, same upgrades as above. But is now painted yellow.

This is my buddy's Datsun 510 that is fitted to the chassis. No mods had to be to the chassis to make it fit.

This is still an ongoing project. Monte Carlo SS model body. Custom made c/f chassis, and d/s to allow awd, and will be full gpm as well once the parts arrive. Model wheels adapted to fill the wheel wells a little better. Best thing about this car is the power system. It is going to be powered by a Razor Micro Car II brushless motor, mamba 25 ESC, and TP 730 3S li-poly's, with an adapter circuit to allow for the stock electronics to send the signals to the ESC for use of the brushless motor.

Here is a 1970 Chevelle SS. Once again cust c/f chassis, and all other goodies.
http://members.shaw.ca/jason.loos/Chevelle6.jpg

I recently painted another camaro body a gloss orange with white racing stripes. It looks very good. Just waiting for the other parts for that car to show up here shortly. If anyone wants to see more infor/pics on these cars you can search my name (same as here) on xmodworld if you wish, or can post here.

I'll also be getting my Lithium battery pro-kit soon. Recently, I have added metal ball bearings, carbon fiber drive shaft, and AWD kit.
