Just curious if anyone is flying a searcher. I'm probably going to get a new plane for christmas, but there arent a lot of choices out there for around $350, and it looks like the searcher would be a nice plane. Thanks for the help

I have one as well as others in my club. It flies great. Stays light and will thermal forever. The only complaint is the small spoiler. It doesn't do much to slow it down.

I have one w/4 servo 2Meter wing and an extra 3 piece, 4 servo 100 inch wing. Had just gotten it (2 Meter version) when I entered a contest at Ft. Lee. Against the rest of the Unlimited Class, I did not fare really well until I hit a thermal (a real hat sucker) that I could not hardly get down from. Would really move quickly to almost out of sight range and had to really keep an eye on it. (The Unlimited guys never were able to ride this thermal as I had.) This was my first full house glider and I may have been converted to full house, composite at that point. It flies well, better than I do, and can really pick up speed a go somewhere if needed. Also has the ability to float along if you manage it correctly. Great Plane!

Both the 2-meter full house and the 100" RES Searchers are great flying ships. Not as nice as more expensive planes as far as cosmetics go, but when you're specked out it doesn't matter :D
