fng here...been trying to fly my mimosa (formosa) with an astro 010, geared
w/ a gws c drive, 10/8 prop, using a 3 cell 700 mah kokam, 860 mah thunder
power, 10 cell nimh @ 800 mah for gas...flies great w/ stock, but doesn't like the
9.6 v (but needs it)...and obviously doesn't like the 010. acts like i put a
water balloon in the damn thing. put a $100 motor on a $50 airplane, and the
sob won't fly...need more battery output? different drive? y'all tell me...

I have been looking at that plane and would greatly appreciate more
information on the performance and flight of the stock setup.

The current (Jan. 2004) issue of Quiet Flyer magazine has a review. Overall
performance with the stock setup is very satisfying.
