I just purchased a H9 60size P-51 from our LHS. Does anyone have any modifications, assembly tips, engine suggestions, and advice on the retracts or any other advice ?? What has been your experience with this plane?? Are there any websites on this ARF? I would appreciate any help you can give me . The kit looks super!!

I used a hacker B 50 9XL +5.2:1 electric motor. I use 2 Thunder Power 3S4P 8000 lithium poly packs wired in series with a APC 16x10 prop. It was a easy conversion and the plane flies wonderful. The large prop even sounds scale. It really has changed a lot of minds at the field. I get 3 eight to ten minute flights on a charge. The retracts are flemsy but work fine. It doesn't like to taxi on grass, I broke a prop this weekend. I am new to this group but I will try to attach photos.

I take it that you are planning on an ic engine. Blacksheep has one with a saito 91 in it and he likes it , I am sure he will give his views. He replaced the gear with spring airs but never tried the supplied mechanical ones. I am sure they work if set up properly and treated nicely, same as the ones on my 80 inch Mustang.
Good Luck
