I have had no sucess getting a response from anyone on my question submitted to the WARBIRDS catagory.
So--I will try here in scale and see if there is enough interest to at least response with something!
As you know or should, if you follow the warbirds of wwll, the Sea Fury used a 5 bladed prop. The sumarine spitfires also had some models with 5 blades. I don't know if there are kits or plans out there for the spitfire, but Topflight makes a nice Sea fury at a reasonable cost.
Many scale models have "static diplay props and switch to the 2 blade for better efficiency (or what ever else)
< My desire is to see these planes flying with correct number of blades.>
Anyone up to the challenge of builting, finding or explaining why "scale-warbirds shouldn't be required to use the correct prop in competition? Hell, I would just like to see one fly!

A couple of years ago the idea of putting an ELECTRIC MOTOR in a scale warbird would have been unheard of. So why not fly with a 5 blade prop. Don't compare to a 2 blade, the problem as I see it --is to do it! -Then improve on it.
All thoughts, ideas, comments, observations are invited, just don't compare a 5 blade to a 2 blade, and get on with your day.

Hope this message is a message!

thanks: Peterpont
