Hi all,
Jammed out this drawing of a "foamie version" of the Hovering Cobra.
I took the flat-wing idea of the smaller electrics and scaled it up for a .40 sized plane.
Using Owens Corning Foamular 250 (Pink Foam).
Fuse is 1.5 in thick
Wing is 1 in thick
Two 36 in 3/8x3/8 hardwood rails run externally and extend out to bolt motor too....ultimatle simple (a .40-.47 fits right in between the rails).
The Stab/Elev and Fin/Rudder materials are yet to be determined...maybe sheet balsa...maybe 1/2 or 3/4 pink foam.
The objective here is simple, FAST build and good hoverability.
What ya'll think??? If you started tonight you could be hovering on Saturday???
