What is the smallest sized blimp that can actually carry a drive system and still give at least 10 minutes of "puttering time"... I mean like MICRO... anything out there?
I need something to annoy the cat on these cold rainy winter days...

try draganfly.com for fairly cheap airships. also Ebay under r/c Blimp search might help too. or if you're up to it, scratch build a gondola, with motors, prop and radio buy some large mylar balloons* depending on how heavy the gondola is* and tie, or tape the fan system on.

*just be sure to use props that won't hurt your cat..* *many toy and model airships employ props that will cause injuries with some carelessness.*

Of course some people could view that as an option ;)

It sounds like the Plantraco Microblimp is going to be exactly what you are looking for. The balloon measures 20 inches across when inflated, which is definitely the smallest 3 channel proportional R/C blimp out there right now. Our whole gondola all up weight is less than the competitors battery!
Goto microblimp.com in mid October to see the new Plantraco Microblimp.
If you can't wait until then, there are many R/C airships out there - once again, I say ours are best at http://www.plantraco.com
