Well it took me almost 7 months, but I finally got to fly my plane. These planes are pretty cool for nitro power  (I fly 95% E-power) but it is a change.Only thig that really stinks is dealing with fuel and getting the darn engine started! I have a O.S. 25 /9X6 APC prop.It isn't anypower house but it goes rite along.Anyhow here is a picture,

Welcome to the wonderful world of slimers. Ya gotta admit the sound is cool! One suggestion. Try a 9x4 MAS prop. You will get quite a few more RPMS and it'll make launches easier and overall I think it'll fly better but that's just my opinion. If ya really want performance bolt on an Ultrathrust muffler or a Kentucky Mousse can.

BenJammin,"Where can I purchase either of the mufflers you suggested?" By the way glow isn't that new to me.I was taught how to fly on a glow trianer and my first two years of flying was on nitro;) Thanxs for the suggestions.stefanP

You can get the Ultrathrust at http://www.pspec.com/html/muffler.html At $65 they are expensive.

Flying Z Hobbies sells the Kentucky Mousse Can http://www.flyingzhobbies.com/spec.html I think they are around $30 for the can and a header. They are very popular with the combat crowd.

If you go to www.rccombat.com there is lots of info there about engines. These guys squeeze every bit they can out of them. 18-19K rpms with your FX is very possible.

http://www.spadtothebone.com/SPAD/Mufflers/ ,try this, I just built 2 and they`re really easy to build and costs a buck or so ( just for the 4-40 push rod) and some RTV sealant!! They say it will increase your rpms up to 1500 rpms more http://jwtfamily.org/rc_albums/spadphotos/aqt.sized.jpg This one`s on a la 46,the bottem pic is the one I used a 3 oz can for the 25fx, I haven`t flew them yet only bench tested http://jwtfamily.org/rc_albums/spadphotos/aqv.sized.jpg I`ve built a few of the dogfighters, and using the 4 mm coro is the only way to go for durability, opposed to gutterpipe, and to cut wieght I used 2 mm for the whole wing , very easy to make, and I have both kinds of wings(4 & 2 mil hybreds, and all 2 mil) and the 2 mil rocks over the other ( with 25fxs), hope this helps
