I have 2 TD.020's that are still in great shape. Does anyone have any information on where I could buy any parts for them? I just installed a new piston/cylinder in one and would like to have parts on hand when something needs replacing (glow heads, plastic front casing assy, etc.). Any ideas??

I get most all of my Cox parts from Burnis Ray of Parts is Parts....BurnisR@aol.com.

You should be able to get .020 heads from your local hobby shop. I'm sure they can order them for you if you asked them as it is the same for the PeeWee .020.

Thanks, Tim, Is the address <BurnisR@aol.com>? I tried the PartsisParts....BurnisR@aol.com without any luck. It's probably me, though, cuz when it comes to computers, I'm a real clutzzz...

I just call Estes/Cox at toll free,,, 1-800-451-0339. Sometimes its a bit of a trick to get through but when you do the service is efficient and friendly. Shipping is reasonable --- exactly what it costs,,, unlike many outfits. Wish they'd make a batch of grey props though.

Andy, thanks very much for the number. I didn't think Estes supported the old engines.

Bob,

Happy to help. Just in case you get stuck in that they don't have what you need, I have some spare bits for the TD .020 that are yours for the asking.

I'm going to first try Estes/Cox and see what's available. I do appreciate the offer...

Hey 3810,
Paul, I went to the site but they don't offer parts for the TD.020, just the reed valve .020. Good site, though, I always wondered what happened to KK! Thanks.

Slight aside, we used to do indoor r/c pylon racing with TD 020 powered models about 10 years ago. At that time the motors were very hard to come by, so I found a UK dealer (John D Haytree) who carried loads of Cox spares and was able to assemble a brand new motor that way! :D

Bill Glover,
Thanks for the info. You wouldn't have an address (e-mail or snailmail)?

Very helpful, according to this he carries over 15,000 spare parts for many makes of motor ... I can well believe that!
